Beginners Welcome

Dial House Pilates

Why Pilates?

Pilates is a wonderful way for lengthening and strengthening the entire body. It not only improves flexibility and posture but can also relieve pain from injury and general everyday aches and pains. Many benefits may include:

  • A stronger, pain free back
  • A straighter spine
  • A toned and flexible body
  • Better posture
  • A flatter stomach
  • Better coordination
  • Greater body and self-awareness
  • Injury prevention and rehabilitation
  • Increased body strength
  • A sense of calm and well-being
  • The list is endless

How often should I do Pilates?

"In 10 sessions you will feel the difference. In 20 sessions you will see the difference. And in 30 sessions you will have a whole new body."  Joseph Pilates

As an instructor I am often asked this question and I would say ideally 3. It doesn’t necessarily mean you have to come to the Studio 3 times a week as you can practice mat Pilates in the comfort of your own home. It need only be a quick 10 minute routine.

Do keep coming to the studio regularly though, to ensure you are doing the exercises properly and safely. With regular lessons, you will learn more exercises and endless amounts of variations, which in turn you can add to your own practice at home. Keep moving and articulating your spine. Your body will thank you for it for years to come!

Julia Lisle - Pilates Instructor

Why Dial House Pilates

Julia Lisle, Teacher

Dial House Pilates offers small classes with individual attention to each client’s need and ability. We have state of the art Peak Pilates® equipment with safety as a priority. Peak Pilates® specialised, spring-resistance equipment is designed to tone and strengthen your muscles, while putting minimum strain on the joints.

Pilates can be done anywhere, your local gym, village hall or in a private home. The key is to have a fully qualified instructor. Many gyms will include Pilates lessons despite the instructors not having any formal Pilates training. More harm than good can come from this. Thus mantras of, “no pain, no gain,” should never be uttered.

Julia Lisle is a comprehensively, fully trained Peak Pilates® instructor. Prior to Dial House Pilates, Julia set up, managed and taught in a studio in Johor, Malaysia.

Julia is a great instructor, explaining the positions really well and catering to different levels within the class. I Always feel like I’ve had a great workout and a bit of fun!
